Anniversary seminar 25 years of ROTEC – innovations in partnership with Rockwell Automation
From May 14 to 16, 2025, the anniversary technical seminar of ROTEC Ltd. and its long-standing partner and leader in automation and digital transformation, Rockwell Automation, was held at the “Atmosfera” hotel in Pavel Banya. The event was dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the founding of ROTEC and was marked by innovations, technological solutions, and sustainable development in industrial automation.
International Participation and High Level of Expertise
The seminar gathered over 50 participants – engineers, integrators, production managers, and end users from Bulgaria and abroad. Among the official guests were specialists from the international structure of Rockwell Automation:
Thomas Knobloch – Process and Software Consultant for Central and Eastern Europe, Peter Kacs – Product Engineer from Hungary, and Daniel Zurma – Regional Director for the Balkans, based in Serbia.
On the Bulgarian side, presenters were engineers with extensive experience in industrial automation and practical work with Rockwell products – Dian Valchev and Eleonor Velichkov, who introduced the professional audience to some of the latest innovations in the company’s portfolio. ROTEC demonstrated next-generation automation tools and software.

The seminar was opened by the manager of ROTEC, Eng. Milen Milev, who presented the company’s history, its development over the years, and the key significance of the partnership with Rockwell Automation. He emphasized that ROTEC offers the full range of Allen-Bradley branded products and services, as well as comprehensive engineering solutions.
Leading Topics in the Program
The seminar program covered a wide range of topics focused on the modernization of production processes, digital transformation, and cybersecurity:
- The new version of Studio 5000 V37, including extended emulation capabilities and improved integration with other systems;
- Connected Components Workbench V22 – the updated environment for configuring Micro800 controllers;
- The cloud tools FactoryTalk® HUB, Design Studio, and Vault for centralized design and archive management;
- Emulate3D and FactoryTalk Logix Echo – platforms for creating digital prototypes and virtual validation of production systems;
- HMI solutions FactoryTalk View SE/ME, ASEM 6300, and FactoryTalk Optix, as well as remote access capabilities via FactoryTalk Remote Access;
- Independent Cart Technology and the Armor solutions for on-machine mounting;
